    Persona series surpasses 15.5 million units sold

    Persona reaches another major milestone.

    Sega Sammy’s latest business overview report reveals the Persona series surpassed 15.5 million units sold worldwide. The Persona sales figure includes physical shipments and digital copies sold between April 1, 2021 and March 31, 2022.

    According to SEGA, the Persona 5 subseries sold roughly 7.22 million units sold worldwide. Persona 5 sales make up 46.6% of total sales for the entire Persona franchise. Additionally, 77% of sales for the Persona 5 franchise were from overseas customers.

    Persona 5 Strikers sold 1.3 million copies sold as of April 2021, and Persona 4 Golden sold 1 million copies on Steam as of June 2021. No new Persona games were released within the fiscal year.

    These sales include Persona 5 Royal physical shipments and digital copies sold for PlayStation 4, but it does not account for the recent multiplatform release in 2022. Persona 5 Royal is available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
