Does Modern Warfare II Support Crossplay?

With Modern Warfare II now released, platers are currently wondering if Modern Warfare II has crossplay. The game is available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, meaning players are going to want to play together across platforms.

    Is Modern Warfare II Crossplay?

Fortunately for players, Modern Warfare II does indeed support crossplay across all platforms! This means that PlayStation, Xbox, and PC users can all play with each other. Xbox and PC users are not able to disable crossplay matchmaking, however PlayStation users can in their settings. Players also curious about if Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is supported on Steam Deck can check out this guide here.

For those curious why some might choose to turn off crossplay, having it on means going against those on PC. Disabling this feature, however, will turn off your ability to play with friends on other platforms. Players should keep this in mind when considering this option. While there is not an option for Xbox or PC users to turn off crossplay yet, stay tuned. This feels like something that will get addressed in the future through a traditional update from Activision.

The game launched with 16 playable maps across the various modes, with a fan favorite map promised to release with the launch of Modern Warfare II’s Season 1. Warzone 2.0 is scheduled to release in just a few weeks, with loads of new features and abilities for players to try their hand at. The action packed campaign also holds 17 missions which let players travel across the world tracking down a terrorist.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is available now across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Battle.net and Steam.
