Samurai Maiden developer SHADE is working on Penny Blood

Developers team up for the Shadow Hearts successor.

YUKIKAZE CEO Matsuzo Machida announced Samurai Maiden developer SHADE is working on Penny Blood, which is a Shadow Hearts spiritual successor.

SHADE has worked on a number of titles such as Gun Gun Pixies, Kandagawa Jet Girls, and Bullet Girls Phantasia. The company is part of the game’s production team alongside YUKIKAZE.

“This time, I would like to introduce SHADE Inc. who is working with us as part of the PENNY BLOOD production team,” Machida said on Twitter. “It is a wonderful company that has created a unique world view together. Thank you.”

Samurai Maiden releases this winter for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
