Square Enix announced a closed beta test for Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is set for sometime in 2022. The Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis closed beta will be held in select regions for iOS and Android. During the Final Fantasy VII 25th Anniversary Celebration live stream, a new trailer for Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis was shown:
Previously, CyberAgent announced Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis would release before the end of September 2022. The release window could refer to the game in closed beta, or imply the closed beta arrives within summer. Square Enix will likely share more details soon.
