During Netflix Geeked Week, Netflix and Konami announced Castlevania: Nocturne, a new animated series starring Richter Belmont. Set years after the events of the Castlevania Netflix series, Richter takes up the mantle of vampire hunter. The series story centers around the events of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.

The series is led by showrunner Kevin Kolde and Creator/Writer Clive Bradley and produced by Project 51 Productions with production services provided by Powerhouse Animation. Castlevania: Nocturne follows Richter, a descendant of the Belmont family, popularized in the iconic Symphony of Night and Blood of Rondo Castlevania games.
