Today’s exciting announcement for the LRG3 June 6 air date follows the recent grand opening of Limited Run Games’ first physical video game retail store. Over 1,000 gamers and collectors from across the country gathered in Cary, North Carolina on April 30 to attend the grand opening for Limited Run Retail, the first ‘FOREVER PHYSICAL’ video game retail store from Limited Run Games! The all-day event was a smash hit, filled with great games, collectibles and exclusive merchandise, along with fun activities and special guests including members of developer WayForward, the creators of the Shantae series, and Mega64. It was a great day for attendees and fans who flocked to the new store, which recorded over 4,200 new and used games sold and over 1,200+ games traded in.

To celebrate the recent grand opening of the company’s first physical video game store, Limited Run Games is excited to announce the free digital release of the Limited Run Retail: Songs To Shop To soundtrack on Spotify. Composed by the BAFTA award-winning musician Jason Graves (Rise of the Tomb Raider, Dead Space, Assassin’s Creed: Origins), Songs To Shop To will take you back in time to those retro days, browsing shelves at local comic book shops, video rental stores, and shopping for physical games on cartridge or disk! Limited Run Retail: Songs To Shop To is also available exclusively at Limited Run Retail store for $14.99 and will be available on at a later date.

From the iconic neon lights above shining over shelves of curated and bespoke collector’s editions to the CRT monitor displays playing classic game ads, every element of Limited Run Retail’s look and aesthetic was handpicked by Limited Run Games to provide an authentic and nostalgic video game shopping experience that looks and feels like you’ve stepped right into a game store from the ‘90s. With memorable electronic tracks, including “You’ve Got Mail” and “Come Visit The Food Court,” Songs To Shop To captures the sound of those halcyon days as well!
