Gran Turismo 7 update for May 2022 teased with Toyota GR010 hypercar

Gran Turismo series producer Kazunori Yamauchi teased another new update for Gran Turismo 7 featuring brand new cars. The creator tweeted a silhouette teaser with three cars in similar fashion to update 1.13. The teased cars appear to be the Toyota GR010 hypercar and the GoPro Rampage 1970 Camaro. The third car has not been identified as of yet, but fans won’t have to wait long.

The new Gran Turismo 7 update arrives sometime this week, the week of May 23rd. Like update 1.13, the new update should introduce new race events alongside the new cars. Polyphony Digital previously confirmed that more cars, tracks, and events will be added through recurring updates. At this pace, players can expect new content every month, give or take.

Previous updates introduced 1-hour endurance races, new World Circuit race events, and increased race payouts. Circuit Experience events include major payouts for bronze and gold clears. For instance, earning all gold in a track awards players with million of credits. The Legend Cars shop was updated to feature more cars at once since more credits allows for extra spending power.

Gran Turismo 7 is available now for PS4 and PS5 worldwide. Lastly, read up on our review of the stellar racing game here.
