EA plans to release major IPs in early 2023 including a remake

EA confirmed via their Q4 FY2022 presentation that the company plans to release major IPs including a remake in early 2023. These games include a partnered game, EA Sports PGA Tour, and a new EA Sports game. The remake in question might not be the previously announced Dead Space remake. Dead Space remake is not listed in the schedule with the aforementioned upcoming releases, leading to speculation about another potential remake from EA.

A new Need for Speed game is expected to release by November 2022 for next-gen consoles and PC. A rumor suggests that the new game will skip PS4 and Xbox One platforms as EA shifts development focus toward newer, relevant platforms. A reveal for Need for Speed 2022 is expected between the month of May through the end of Summer Game Fest 2022.

Star Wars Jedi 2 is another rumored game in the works at EA. The new Star Wars game will skip PS4 and Xbox One just like Need for Speed. In addition, the sequel drops the Fallen Order subtitle from the original game. Star Wars Jedi 2 is expected to release in 2023 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

EA recently announced that their partnership with FIFA ends in 2023. One more FIFA title will be made for 2022 while EA Sports FC makes its debut in 2023. Many features such as Ultimate Team and VOLTA Football return with EA Sports FC. More details about EA Sports FC will be shared in July 2023.
