Star Wars Jedi 2 releases in 2023 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC only

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was a major hit for EA and Respawn. Rumors are swirling around the sequel, which drops the Fallen Order subtitle according to VentureBeat journalist Jeff Grubb. Grubb states that Star Wars Jedi 2 releases in 2023 for next-gen consoles and PC. The new Need for Speed game for 2022 is also rumored to be a next-gen only title.

With PS4 and Xbox One left behind, Respawn could get more out of Star Wars Jedi 2 on newer hardware. New graphics cards, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S can take advantage of performance. However, leaving the older consoles behind misses out on hundreds of millions of players. 2023 seems to be the year where more games adopt PS5 and Xbox Series X|S exclusive releases as the consoles enter their 3rd year on the market.
