New Need for Speed game by Criterion Games reportedly slated for Fall 2022

According to freelance journalist Tom Henderson, EA and Criterion Games are planning to release their long awaited new Need for Speed game this fall! Specifically, Henderson refers to a potential release in September or October 2022. The game was delayed back in March 2021 and later that year, Criterion Games would pause development to work on Battlefield 2042. It looks like 2022 is the right time to finish and release the new Need for Speed game. Fans have been waiting nearly 3 years for the next entry as Need for Speed: Heat released back in 2019 to really good reception.
