As of September 5th, the PS5 crossed 1 million units sold in Japan according to Famitsu! The console has sold 1,012,656 units in Japan with 847,421 standard models sold and 165,235 digital edition models sold. Currently, the highest selling game on PS5 in Japan is Resident Evil Village with 67,000 copies sold. Highly anticipated titles such as Final Fantasy XVI and Gran Turismo 7 should do quite well on the platform in the near future.
