Nintendo and Square Enix revoke digital access to NEO: The World Ends With You, after codes for the full game were accidentally sent out ahead of its July 27th release

Folks who have been hyping up the highly anticipated NEO: The World Ends With You have already noticed that Nintendo bizarrely sent out codes for the full game along with pre-orders of the physical version of the game. This, of course, was an accident, and Nintendo and Square Enix have rectified this accident by revoking access to the digital version of the game until its intended July 27th release date. The mistake here was that the codes were meant to be for the game’s add-on content that was given as a pre-order bonus for those who bought the physical Nintendo Switch version from Square Enix’s own website. This includes the ability to access some items earlier than otherwise intended. Hopefully, fans have been able to avoid as many spoilers as possible from those who got to play the game early.
