Dead or Alive series director Yohei Shimbori leaves Koei Tecmo after 16 years of in-house work

Dead or Alive series director Yohei Shimbori (image courtesy of GameWatch) announced today via Twitter that he’s leaving Koei Tecmo. His departure marks the end of his 16 year-long career at the company.

His career in the Dead or Alive franchise dates back to 2004 with Dead or Alive Ultimate. Dead or Alive 6 was his last game as director and producer of the series. We wish Shimbori the best of luck in his future endeavors!
