Switch firmware update 10.0.0 includes support for new hardware, fueling speculation of a new Switch model

The latest news comes from discovers made within Switch firmware update 10.0.0, thanks to Mike Heskin. Heskin discovered that update 10.0.0 adds support for a new hardware model named “nx-abcd.” According to Direct Feed Games, this new hardware is based on the Mariko chipset. The Mariko chipset is used in the Switch Lite and Switch V2 revision (red box Switch). Another interesting tidbit is the inclusion of support for a second display.
