Wall Street Journal reporter Takashi Mochizuki recently had an interview with Koei Tecmo’s COO, Hisashi Koinuma. The interview goes over Koinuma’s views on cloud gaming and Google Stadia. The full interview is available here and one interesting tidbit was pointed out by Gematsu.
Koinuma states that the Koei Tecmo is in talks of producing games for several U.S. game companies. Koei Tecmo is no stranger to collaborating with Japanese companies and seems to expand their reach. Previously, the company worked on Switch exclusives like Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3. Their next project is Persona 5 Scramble with Atlus. The company has grown over the past few years with many projects under their belt. It should be interesting to see what Koei Tecmo could tackle with a possible western IP.
