On their Twitter today, The Pokémon Company has announced that fans will be getting some fresh updates soon about the upcoming Pokémon Sword and Pokemon Shield.

As seen in the tweet above, the news will come in the form of another “Galar research update” on August 7 at 6 am PST. The update should bring info about new Pokémon joining the fray and possibly new mechanics. Stay tuned for more!
Pokémon Sword and Shield release for the Nintendo Switch on November 15. The game can be pre-ordered now at most retailers. A special themed Pokémon Sword and Shield Nintendo Switch Lite can also be pre-ordered at certain participating retailers.
