Monster Rancher first released for the PlayStation 1 on November 30th, 1997 and this port is an updated version. First developed by Tecmo (now Koei Tecmo), this monster raising simulator included a unique feature with CDs at the time. Inserting a CD into the PlayStation would generate a new monster.
