Bandai Namco Filmworks has revealed the theme songs and further cast members for the Fool Night anime. The anime will debut on Netflix on November 26.
The band Tempalay performs the theme song, “Shake! spit out.” Nowlu performs the ending theme song “Iki” (Breath). The new cast includes Shion Wakayama as Sumi Matsuno, the late Hiroshi Tsuchida as Ken Hikasa, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Nishi, Sayaka Senbongi as Meg Okumura, and Yumiko Kobayashi as Ivy. They join the following main cast:
- Kōki Uchiyama as Toshiro Kamiya
- Minako Kotobuki as Yomiko Horai
- Junya Enoki as Akira Yatsuka
- Aya Endō as Saeko Kanaeno
- Kiyomitsu Mizuuchi as Jin Hiragishi

Atsuyuki Yukawa will direct the anime at Sunrise and SHAFT. Jin Tanaka will write the script, Robert Sato is designing the characters, and Tatsuya Katō is composing the music.

Kasumi Yasuda launched the Fool Night manga in Shogakukan’s Big Comic Superior magazine in November 2020. Shogakukan released its 12th compiled book volume on January 30.
VIZ Media publishes the manga in English and describes the story:
Kamiya is at the end of his rope. His mother is ill, and his job barely pays for her medication, much less food. With few options left, he considers the life-changing process of transfloration. Ready to give his body up for a payday, Kamiya is about to explore the limits of society’s waning humanity.
