Netflix and CD Projekt Red have released a new, and seemingly final, official trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2. The anime will premiere on Netflix on October 20.
The trailer focuses on the anime’s four key characters: Roman Carax, D, Talia, and Weak. It eludes to the influence of the Blackwall and the Biochip, two nefarious forces that directly influenced the plot of Cyberpunk 2077. Check out the new trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 below:
The Cure will perform the opening theme, titled “10:15 Saturday Night.” Petite Meller will perform an original track for the ending theme, titled “Watson.” This is in addition to the “You Can’t Run From Me” song by Rico Nasty. She created the song specifically for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2. Another track that the anime will highlight is “A Rusty Dream” by DOUDOU (Du Binger / Du Feier). Yuyunhsieh recorded, mixed, and mastered the song.
Here’s the cast of the anime series, via Netflix:
- Clancy Brown/Kentaro Tone as Weak
- “Once known as “King,” a veteran edgerunner at the top of his game, Weak now lives in the shadow of his former glory.”
- Nazeeh Tarsha/Koki Uchiyama as D
- “A Snake Nation netrunner with sharp technical skills and a sharper hunger for revenge, D hunts the killer who wiped out his clan.”
- Kimoy Lee/Akari Kito as Talia
- “Raised in corpo towers but hardened in Maelstrom’s grip, Talia is fiercely independent and steeped in the gang’s hyper-violent, chrome-obsessed culture.”
- Valeria Rodriguez/Momoka Terasawa as Roman Carax
- “Roman Carax is a young cinephile chasing real stories in a city that’s abandoned film for braindance. Obsessed with documenting truth, he shadows the lives of others — only to learn that unlike his favorite reels, Night City’s stories are messy, brutal, and rarely tied up with a clean ending.”
