Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream Adds New Playable Character Eydis

Eydis first debuted in Sword Art Online: Unleash Blading.

Bandai Namco has announced a new character for Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream in Eydis the Rogue, available now via the in-game store. The game is available now on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

Eydis is described as “the 10th Integrity Knight, wielding《Umbral Arts》in battle. A Rogue-type character with rapid-fire katana strikes & area-of-effect Sacred Arts!” She first appeared in Sword Art Online: Unleash Blading, later appearing in volume 28 of Sword Art Online. She is voiced by Kana Hanazawa.

The Steam store page describes Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream as follows:

Galaxia, a new system allowing players to relive the past, has been added to ALfheim Online; however, Galaxia spins out of control causing players from all over time and space to be displaced! To set the timeline back on track, Kirito must work with fallen friends… and foes.

A total of 21 characters from the SAO series, each with their own unique role, will join him in a battle beyond memory.

In addition to single-player mode, team up with up to 20 players worldwide and stand united against powerful enemies.

Single-Player Mode
      • Story mode
        • A one-player experience featuring an original story. Characters from across time and space, each with their own destiny, gather to confront the anomaly in the VR world.
Online-Only Modes
      • Boss raid
        • An online-exclusive mode where up to 20 players in five parties of four players each challenge a gigantic boss. This mode heralds the return of powerful bosses that once stood against Kirito and his friends. Join players from around the world to overcome these life-or-death battles.
      • Co-Op Quest
        • An online-exclusive mode to challenge up to 20 players in five parties of four-players each. The five parties start separated but gradually unite with one another as the quest progresses. In the last area of the map, a final showdown against the boss awaits, requiring the combined efforts of all participants.
      • Free Roam
        • An online-exclusive mode where players can freely explore a vast map filled with powerful bosses and treasure chests. Up to 20 players can participate in one map, allowing for one-time adventures with randomly selected players.
