The official website for the upcoming anime adaptation of Aki Irie’s Go with the Clouds, North by Northwest (Hokuhokusei ni Kumo to Yuke) manga has revealed that it will premiere in 2027. It has also released the first promotional video and key visual, and revealed that Tomohiro Ōno will star as Kei Miyama. The anime will air on TBS and stream exclusively on Netflix.
Irie began serializing Go with the Clouds, North by Northwest in Harta in 2016. When Aokishi launched, the manga moved from Harta to Kadokawa’s new magazine. After Aokishi ceased publication of the series in February 2025, the newly established company Yukiwarisō announced in October 2025 that it would take over publication. The first collected volume of the manga’s “second series,” which continues the original story under a new publisher and volume numbering, was released on April 30. The original series’ seventh volume was published in Japan in 2024.
