Crunchyroll Manga is also getting an expansion.

Sony Interactive Entertainment and Crunchyroll have announced that a dedicated Crunchyroll hub will be added to the PlayStation 5 home screen in spring 2027. The Crunchyroll hub aims to streamline the anime watching and browsing experience for PS5 users, along with allowing them to easily find anime-inspired games.

“From Crunchyroll membership on PlayStation, to the upcoming Ghost of Tsushima: Legends anime series,” said Crunchyroll president Rahul Purini in a press release. “Today, we take that partnership with Sony Interactive Entertainment one step further with an anime hub on PlayStation. Serving fans means meeting them where they already are.”

Meanwhile, the official Nintendo support page for the Crunchyroll app on Nintendo Switch confirms that the platform’s app is being discontinued on October 30. Crunchyroll has yet to release a Nintendo Switch 2 version of the app. According to Crunchyroll, Nintendo Switch 2 doesn’t support “several video-on-demand services,” which means the service cannot run on the platform at the moment. Crunchyroll doesn’t have any announcements to make regarding a potential Nintendo Switch 2 app.

Crunchyroll also announced an expansion of Crunchyroll Manga at its inaugural Crunchyroll Anime Future Forum in New York City. Crunchyroll Manga is now available in select English-speaking international markets, including United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
