The staff of the TV anime adaptation of Yuki Ikeda’s Thunder 3 manga confirmed that the anime series will continue in 2027 with Thunder 3 Season 2. To celebrate the announcement of Thunder 3 Season 2, Ikeda released a new illustration alongside the anime’s official trailer.
The first season of Thunder 3 premiered on July 8, 2026 at 24:45 JST on Fuji TV, and Netflix is streaming the anime.
Yuri performs the opening theme song “Thunderbolt,” and -otoha- performs the ending theme song “Shururerira.”

Hiroyuki Seshita, known for his work on Knights of Sidonia: Ajin, is directing the anime, and Hiroshi Seko is overseeing the series scripts. -otoha- performs the anime’s ending theme song “Shururerira.”
Yuki Ikeda began serializing Thunder 3 in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Magazine in 2022. Kodansha publishes the Thunder 3 series worldwide.
