The staff of Yaiba: Samurai Legend Season 2 confirmed the anime’s January 9, 2027 premiere on YTV, NTV and affiliate channels at a 5:30 p.m. JST timeslot. A new key visual for the season was revealed as well.
Yaiba: Samurai Legend Season 2 will focus on adapting the Kaguya Arc. The anime’s new cast members include Ami Koshimizu as Kaguya and Kōki Uchiyama as Tsukikage.
Takahiro Hasui returns to direct the anime at WIT STUDIO, with animation cooperation by Studio Kurm. Tōko Machida is in charge of the series scripts, and Yoshimichi Kameda is the character designer and chief animation director. Takeshi Maenami is the sub-character designer and main animator, and Yutaka Yamada and Yoshiaki Dewa are the music composers. Haru Yamada is the sound director, and Maiko Okada is the animation producer.
