Jupiter Corporation has announced Picross S Climax, the ultimate installment in the Picross S puzzle game series for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Picross S Climax will launch on December 10 for 2,980 yen in Japan, and a physical Switch 2 version (Game-Key Card) will be available for 3,480 yen.
Picross S Climax features 1,020 puzzles from Picross S through Picross S9, along with 40 new high-difficulty bonus puzzles for veteran players. These new puzzles are unlocked by linking save data from any game in the Picross S series.
What’s more, Picross S Climax includes the new 40×30-grid Extra mode alongside Picross, Mega Picross, Color Picross, and Clip Picross. Background music from the series can be freely set during gameplay, and the music can be listened to at any time with the built-in Sound Player.
On Nintendo Switch 2, Picross S Climax features support for Joy-Con 2 mouse controls, touchscreen controls, and up to four players in local multiplayer with button controls.
Jupiter previously released PICROSS S KONAMI ANTIQUES edition, a Konami-themed Picross puzzle game, on April 30 for Nintendo Switch for $17.99 / €17.99 / £16.19 / ¥1,800. PICROSS S KONAMI ANTIQUES edition is a collaborative spinoff of the Picross S series with puzzles featuring characters from Konami’s prolific library of IPs, including Castlevania, Contra, and Gradius.
