Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that State of Play is returning on September 3 with two broadcasts—State of Play and State of Play Japan. These State of Play broadcasts will be streaming back-to-back starting September 3 at 6:00 a.m. PT / 9:00 a.m. ET / 3:00 p.m. CEST / 10:00 p.m. JST on YouTube and Twitch.
The first State of Play broadcast will bring updates and announcements for PlayStation 5 from PlayStation Studios and third-party partners, ending with an extended look at the highly anticipated Final Fantasy VII Revelation, which will launch in spring 2027 on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
The State of Play Japan broadcast will be hosted by renowned voice actor Yuki Kaji. State of Play Japan will feature deep dives, new gameplay, announcements, and updates on upcoming games from studios in Japan and Asia.
State of Play will air in English, with Japanese subtitles also available. State of Play Japan will air in Japanese, with English subtitles available.
Lastly, those co-streaming the event or uploading reactions should be aware that the broadcasts will feature copyrighted music and content.
