Disney and Square Enix have announced the Kingdom Hearts 25th Anniversary Exhibition, a new exhibition event set to take place early next year to celebrate the franchise’s 25th anniversary. The event will take place at Roppongi Mori Arts Building 52F in the Roppongi district of Tokyo, Japan. Tickets for the exhibition will be available for purchase starting October 8, and the event will run from February 5 through April 4, 2027.
Alongside the announcement of the exhibition, a new X (formerly Twitter) account and website have been opened. The website has teased that the event will offer a chance for fans to look back at the history of the series before the release of Kingdom Hearts IV, with photo spots recreating scenes from the games, Keyblade displays, a theater experience, and development materials said to be part of the exhibition. Additionally, exclusive exhibition merchandise will be available.
Square Enix just recently revealed that the Kingdom Hearts franchise has surpassed 39 million copies sold since its debut. Earlier this month, Coco was revealed as a world for Kingdom Hearts IV, and we got our first look at a four-minute trailer featuring Sora, Sigurd, Strelitzia, Riku, Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Hades, and more. Additionally, Kingdom Hearts: The Series anime was announced for Disney+ and Disney Channel, featuring an all-new story in collaboration with Tetsuya Nomura and Square Enix.
Kingdom Hearts IV is set to launch in late 2027 on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. Wishlisting is available now.
