The official website for Akatsuki Group, Media Do, MyAnimeList, and NTT Docomo’s MANGA MIRAI digital manga service has confirmed that the service will shut down on December 15. Before ending service, MANGA MIRAI users have the option to create a MangaPlaza account with their MANGA MIRAI-associated email address to keep access to purchased comics or opt-out entirely by September 30.

- Starting this date:
- You will no longer be able to create a new MANGA MIRAI account or purchase comics
- The MANGA MIRAI app will no longer be available for download or for viewing purchased comics
- Most MANGA MIRAI website pages will become unavailable, except for this notice, My Library (where you can still view purchased comics), and My Account
- The opt-out period begins—you can submit an opt-out request starting this date

- This is the last day to:
- Submit an opt-out request if you don’t want your information transferred to MangaPlaza
- Create a MangaPlaza account with your MANGA MIRAI email address to keep access to your purchased comics

- MANGA MIRAI shuts down permanently. After this date, you will no longer be able to view comics on MANGA MIRAI.
MANGA MIRAI featured over 11,000 volumes from hundreds of manga titles, including WIND BREAKER, The Daily Life of a Middle-Aged Online Shopper in Another World, and BLUE LOCK. Various publishers, including TO BOOKS and J-Novel Club, brought their titles to MANGA MIRAI, which is accessible at mangamirai.com or on mobile via the App Store or Google Play through December 15.
