Blue Archive Releases Act 2 Update and Two New 3-Star Students

NEXON has released a new “Act 2” update for Blue Archive, which adds two new 3-star students and two new story chapters. New events are also available. 

A press release outlines the new additions to Blue Archive:

Pick-Up Recruitment Events for New Characters

• • Niko (★3)
    • A deputy leader of the FOX Squad from SRT Special Academy, Niko is an Explosive-type Support. She is the first-ever AoE EX Skill damage buffer, where her EX Skill removes harmful effects from one ally. Niko also grants an EX Skill damage increase buff to allies in her circle.
  • Kurumi (★3)
    • A “FOX3” at the SRT Special Academy’s FOX Squad, Kurumi is an Explosive-type Tank with an EX Skill that grants herself a “Tactical Shield.” When her shield is hit, it regenerates and its capacity recharges upon receiving additional shields. When the effect ends, a portion of the shield converts into HP as an efficient, self-sustaining defense mechanism.

New Story Chapters

• • Main Story Act 2 Prologue
    • In the prologue, players discover a case tied to a mysterious black-and-white photo buried within the General Student Council’s records, one that even Council President Rin can’t place. Upon looking into it, Sensei wakes to find Kivotos drained of color and every student missing. She meets an enigmatic girl in the Council President’s empty office before the day resets once more.
  • Act 2 Vol 0. General Student Council Chapter 1: A Spring Day Full of Almond Blossoms
    • As the almond blossoms bloom on a spring day, an unexpected person returns. The General Student Council’s officers trick the ever-overworked Rin into taking a rare day off with Sensei enlisted as her chaperone. Their holiday together around D.U., including an arcade rematch that doesn’t go quite as planned, soon gives way to an unexpected new turn for Kivotos, as a mysterious figure claiming to be the General Student Council President makes her appearance.
  • Act 2 Ex. Lore Pursuit Chapter 1
    • High Noon Haze: Students from FOX Squad including SRT Special Academy’s Niko (★3) and Kurumi (★3) appear as the story follows clues that lead to local urban legends, tying into the Event Story “Special Mission: Lore Pursuit” to uncover the truth behind the incident.
  • Event Story Special Mission: Lore Pursuit
    • This event story includes content such as battles, episodes, quests, challenges, and reward-related menus like the shop, tasks, and clue hunt. Players who complete the quests, can earn rewards like Artifacts and General Blueprint Raffle Boxes. Once the player completes the Aburacho Central Road Quest, another new student Otogi (★1) will be granted. This event will run from August 18 (after maintenance) through August 31 at 6:59 PM PDT.
