During D23, Insomniac Games revealed a short sizzle reel that further highlights Marvel’s Wolverine before it releases on September 15. In addition, a recent post on the PlayStation Blog confirms more details about the game.
Recent hands-on impressions confirm that Wolverine will feature the titular character as part of Team X, joined by Mystique and Sabretooth, and formed by Nathaniel Essex. In the comics, Essex is also known as the antagonist Mr. Sinister. Here, Troy Baker will portray the character. Furthermore, Kelly Hu, who played Lady Deathstrike in X2, will portray the character in Marvel’s Wolverine. The game will also include a hub area in Madripoor called the Princess Bar, where Logan can interact with the aforementioned characters alongside Jean Grey.

Marvel’s Wolverine will release on September 15 for PlayStation 5. Limited edition console covers and controllers will also be available. The PlayStation Store describes the game as follows:
The game will explore Logan’s signature spin on heroism – which is much darker and more brutal than you might expect from Insomniac. Independence is often the way of Wolverine, although he’ll encounter familiar faces on his journey, like the elusive Mystique and the brutish Omega Red. Some will fight alongside Logan against all odds, while others will unleash all-out attacks, such as the Reavers, an enemy faction that will keep our hero’s instincts on edge.
In this original story, Wolverine is on the hunt to uncover the secrets of a dark past that keeps eluding him. His search for answers will send him on perilous excursions to exotic locales, including the island nation of Madripoor, the frosted wilderness of Canada and the narrow city streets of Tokyo – all potential battlegrounds for fierce, bloody, destructive action.
