Sucker Punch has revealed the Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition, which will release on October 1 and include the new Echoes of Sekigahara expansion. It will also include the new Most Wanted mode, new Watanabe mode tracks, and new cosmetics.
Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition will cost $69.99 and include the aforementioned new additions, as well as the previously released Legends mode. According to a PlayStation Blog post, Echoes of Sekigahara is focuses on two perspectives: the present day and flashbacks to Atsu’s time on the mainland. It introduces Nagato, “a figure from Atsu’s past who has arrived in Ezo. In the present, you’ll explore a previously unseen valley once inhabited by The Snake and his gang of loyal followers, the Vipers. In the past, you’ll experience Atsu’s time in the Battle of Sekigahara and a key moment in her life before she returned home for her quest for vengeance. You’ll meet new enemies and find new heavy weapons, new armor sets, new dyes, and more.”
As for Most Wanted, it is a single-player roguelike-esque mode. You will accept bounties in order to start new runs, where taking down enemies will earn you perks. Ghost of Yōtei is available now on PlayStation 5. Those who own the base version can upgrade to the Complete Edition for $14.99 on October 1. A free update will also release alongside it, that features the screensaver-inspired Beauty of Yōtei mode and other quality-of-life updates.
