Spike Chunsoft has announced that the western release date for the Xbox Series X|S version of STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT has been delayed to October 29 to align with the release of the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PlayStation 5 versions. Originally, STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT was planned to launch alongside the Steam version on August 20 before being delayed.
Pre-orders for the Steam version of STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT are now live a limited-time 10% discount. Pre-orders and early purchases of the STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT Standard Edition or Digital Deluxe Edition on Steam include the 80s PC-style adventure game STEINS;GATE Octet of Shifting Space as a free bonus. The offer is available through November 30 (JST), and STEINS;GATE Octet of Shifting Space will be available on October 29, 2026.
As previously announced, the STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT Digital Deluxe Edition will be available featuring the game, a digital visual book, the digital soundtrack, and footage from the “STEINS;GATE 15th LIVE – ONE WORLD -” live event, which has English subtitles.
STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT launches on August 20 first for PC via Steam. STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT will be digital-only for Xbox Series X|S and PC, and all versions will feature English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese language support with Japanese voice-overs.
Spike Chunsoft will publish physical Standard and SteelBook Editions of STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PlayStation 5. These editions will feature a new cover illustration by character designer huke, and each edition includes a sticker as a first-print-run bonus. Physical pre-orders for STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT are available at participating retailers.
