A TV anime adaptation of resn and Yachimoto’s Destiny Unchain Online: How I Became the Crimson Devil (Destiny Unchain Online: Kyūketsuki Shōjo to Natte, Yagate “Aka no Maō” to Yobareru Yō ni Narimashita) novels and manga is currently in the works, according to the anime’s newly opened X (formerly Twitter) account.
To celebrate the announcement, Yachimoto drew a new illustration:
resn’s original story began in May 2020 on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website before being serialized on Kadokawa’s Kakuyomu website in June 2021. Kodansha publishes the novel series in print with art by Yachimoto.
Yachimoto launched the manga adaptation of Destiny Unchain Online: How I Became the Crimson Devil in Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket app in July 2022 before being serialized on Magazine Pocket. Kodansha also published the manga in print, and K MANGA is publishing the manga in English.
