TOHO animation has announced that Kamome Maruyono’s Dokagui Daisuki! Mochizuki-san (I Love Dokagui! Mochizuki-san) manga is getting an anime adaptation. Studio Passione will produce the anime.
To celebrate the announcement, Maruyono released a celebratory illustration:
Kamome Maruyono’s hit manga launched simultaneously in Hakusensha’s Young Animal Zero magazine and the Young Animal Web manga website in May 2024. Hakusensha then published the manga’s first compiled volume in October 2024. The fourth volume will be released on September 29.
The manga has enjoyed massive success, ranking No. 8 among the Top 10 series in the Web Manga category of the Next Manga Awards 2024. It also became the inaugural winner of the Next Manga Awards’ new “Nichirei Prize” that year. The series was also nominated at the 18th Manga Taisho Awards in 2025 and was included among the Top 20 manga for male readers in the 2026 edition of Takarajimasha’s Kono Manga ga Sugoi! (This Manga Is Amazing!) guidebook.
