Insomniac Games has released a story trailer for Marvel’s Wolverine, ahead of its release on September 15 for PlayStation 5. The trailer showcases new footage of Wolverine himself, Jean Grey, Bolivar Trask, Omega Red, Sabretooth, and more.
The trailer highlights Wolverine’s battles with his own fractured mental state, and his war to protect the people most important to him from threats like Trask, Lady Deathstrike, and the Hand. A trailer description further outlines the narrative: “New allies and formidable adversaries emerge in the clash for mutant survival. As Wolverine, unite with Jean Grey to protect those most vulnerable. Fight alongside Team X to confront the world’s deadliest villains in the caliber of Bolivar Trask, Omega Red, and Deathstrike, and stand against oppressive forces like The Reavers and The Hand”

The game will explore Logan’s signature spin on heroism – which is much darker and more brutal than you might expect from Insomniac. Independence is often the way of Wolverine, although he’ll encounter familiar faces on his journey, like the elusive Mystique and the brutish Omega Red. Some will fight alongside Logan against all odds, while others will unleash all-out attacks, such as the Reavers, an enemy faction that will keep our hero’s instincts on edge.
In this original story, Wolverine is on the hunt to uncover the secrets of a dark past that keeps eluding him. His search for answers will send him on perilous excursions to exotic locales, including the island nation of Madripoor, the frosted wilderness of Canada and the narrow city streets of Tokyo – all potential battlegrounds for fierce, bloody, destructive action.
