A new finding on EpicDB, a third-party tool that acts as a database for the Epic Games Store (similar to SteamDB), has revealed multiple DLC listings for Final Fantasy VII Revelation. This includes mention of a “Story Expansion Pass”, a “Premium Edition”, a “Premium Plus Edition”, and multiple DLCs.
It’s important to note that these listings do not confirm any DLC or expansion, but the wording is clear and direct. Some of the listings may be related to pre-order bonuses and similar offers as well. Final Fantasy VII Revelation is referred to as “end3” multiple times in the database, which falls in line with Final Fantasy VII Remake being previously referred to as “end”.
While no story expansion or DLC has been confirmed at this time, Final Fantasy VII Remake Series Director Naoki Hamaguchi has shared that the team will consider it following the release of Revelation. Potential story DLC could possibly explore the narrative that follows the original game in either Advent Children or Dirge of Cerberus. Additionally, the team could explore an entirely new story, depending on how Revelation ends.
