The recent King of Prism event has revealed that a new anime film titled King of Prism -Tri-Star Act- is now in production. The first teaser trailer for the anime film has also released.
The film focuses on “Prism.3,” the competition for trios who perform the franchise’s signature Prism Shows. Masakazu Hishida will once again serve as chief director at Tatsunoko Production, alongside scriptwriter Jou Aoba. Mai Matsuura is the character designer, Yoshihiro Otobe is the CG director, Daisuke Katō returns as original Prism Jump designer, Rei Ishizuka is the musical composer, and Nobuto Kojima is the sound supervisor. Avex Film Labels will distribute the film.

King of Prism serves as a spin-off of the Pretty Rhythm franchise. In 2019, an anime released, titled KING OF PRISM -Shiny Seven Stars-. The series is available on Crunchyroll. It describes it as follows:
After appearing in the Prism King Cup representing Edel Rose, and getting a glimpse of what it was like to a be a future Prism Star, Ichijo Shin entered Kakyoin Academy’s High School division in spring and became a first-year high school student.
Koji, Hiro, and Kazuki from Over The Rainbow left Edel Rose and established a new agency.
Meanwhile, after having the title of Prism King stolen by Hiro, the leader of Schwarz Rose, Norizuki Jin, proposes PRISM.1, which would decide a new king other than Prism King. He then announces that Schwarz Rose and Edel Rose will be competing with each other.
