During the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, the staff of the Hero Killer anime adaptation was revealed alongside a new illustration by the webtoon’s original creators. As previously announced, Korean webtoon production company Jaedam Media signed a contract with France-based animation production company and streaming platform Animation Digital Network (ADN) to develop an animated adaptation.
Kkulbeol and Beolkkul’s Hero Killer first launched on February 24, 2021, and its available on Naver Webtoon in eight different countries, including United States, Japan, and France. Hero Killer is also available in English on WEBTOON, which has recorded 97.4 million views for the webtoon series on its platform as of October 3, 2025.
