The upcoming anime adaptation of Yuki Ikeda’s Thunder 3 manga is appearing at Anime Expo 2026 on July 4 with the world premiere of the first two episodes in North America. The newly announced director and composer will be attending the panel ahead of the Netflix release of the anime on July 8.
The “Thunder 3 Premiere Panel with Production Staff” will feature Hiroyuki Seshita, the director of the series who has previously worked on CG animation for Knights of Sidonia, Ajin: Demi-Human, BLAME!, GODZILLA: Planet of the Monsters, and GAMERA -Rebirth-. Also in attendance will be the composer Hiroshi Seko, with previous credits including Attack on Titan: The Final Season, Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, Gachiakuta, Inuyashiki, and Ajin.
Yuki Ikeda began serializing Thunder 3 in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Magazine in 2022. The manga took social media by storm thanks to its plot twists and stunning artwork, all of which was created by Ikeda. Thunder 3 was also nominated for the “Next Manga Awards 2022” shortly after its debut.
