Game Studio Inc. and room6 have revealed that its puzzle adventure game, UNDERGROUNDED, will release for PC via Steam on July 3. A demo is available now.
It will cost 2,480 yen and supports English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese language options. Further, the Steam page describes UNDERGROUNDED as follows:
Scott, a young man from Manhattan, finally pops the question to his girlfriend… who promptly says “no.” He’s so dejected that he accidentally drops the ring he used to propose into a storm drain.The ring keeps falling deeper and deeper underground. It falls into the sewers, then further down into… a movie theater? Wait, is that a jet plane? Why are we in the Old West now? What are cowboys doing underground??? Turns out that deep below Manhattan , there’s an underground dungeon where America’s past lives on! Will Scott be able to traverse it deep enough to find his ring?

Right, I forgot to mention one thing. There are terrifying, powerful bosses waiting for you in the dungeon! But don’t despair: Scott has a mysterious power. If he finds a retro game cabinet and plays it, strange things happen in the world around him! Play several nostalgic homages to ’80s arcade masterpieces to find a way to defeat those bosses!
