Hikawa launched the manga in Kodansha’s Morning two magazine in August 2021, and the manga’s eighth volume released on September 22, 2025, in Japan. Seven Seas Entertainment will release the omnibus version of the manga in October 2026.

Pony Canyon describes the anime’s story as follows:

The story follows Ryūsei Narukami, a shut-in who spends his days playing games, but who had once been a Demon King in another world. It also follows Meteor Hanaori, the former hero who defeated him and is now a high school girl. This romantic comedy between a former Demon King and a former Hero is now set to be brought to life as an anime.
