Digimon Story Time Stranger will receive a new update for all platforms across July 9 and July 10. It is set to add Photo Mode, a new playable character, and quality of life improvements.
The release is scheduled for July 9 for the existing platforms of PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It will release on July 10 for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, the same day as the Switch versions release (all times UTC). In the update, Terriermon Assistant will be added as a new playable character. Additionally, it will feature Photo Mode, which will be available in field exploration, as well as a new Graphics Mode option. Furthermore, a screen in the Digifarm will allow players to check Digivolution Conditions.

Pre-orders are open for when the game launches on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on July 10. A demo is also available for both systems. In addition, a new expansion is in development and planned for a 2027 release. The game has both Japanese and English voice overs.
