Digital Extremes has released a new update for the Soulframe pre-alpha, titled Preludes 15: Gods and Ghosts. The update adds a reworked loot system, a new Siege system, a Totem system rework, and more.
The list of major new additions are as follows:
- Reworked Loot and Crafting System
- Expands overall gear variety, allowing players to find more unique discoveries as defeated enemies now drop fully crafted weapons with new Tempers, Soulframe’s randomized modifiers. Now, players can also forge Ingots with the blacksmith Tuvalkane to refine craftwork.
- Gear Trading and In-Game Mail Features
- Spread the spoils of battle and meaningful messages with players.
- New Siege Encounter – Turret Jotar
- Reworked Enemy Patrol System
- Uncover fresh mob encounters and fight new enemies, such as Ode’n Caeulam.
- Totem System Rework
- Totems now bestow stat bonuses and buffs for Pull Smite and Rune Abilities, which bring forth new Totem combinations. These pair well with the game’s newest weapon additions: the heavy axe Veilk, the long blade Ilverac, and the heavy mace Vrusht-IX.
For more details about the new additions, full patch notes are available on the Soulframe website. Said website describes the game:
Washed ashore on the northern isle of Midrath, a new adventure begins.
Omen beasts in Ode’n chain bellow in mourning. The voicing trees sag ‘long tortured streams. The worldflesh of Alca splits with rage.
Who will find the Silvern Seas and awaken our Ancestors? Who will learn the melodies of soul unbinding, and break the gaunting spellsong? Who will hold in their heart the wanderers, the wild, the world? You will, Envoy.
It is unknown whether or not Soulframe will release in 2026 or beyond. Additionally, while Digital Extremes’ have not yet confirmed Soulframe’s consoles, it will likely be available on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC, similarly to Warframe.
