Square Enix has launched a new event for Dragon Quest Smash/Grow, titled “The Wandering Merchant and the Ruins of Confusion.” The event will be available until July 21.
The event “brings the killing machine and other miscreants of the machine family to ruinous rifts,” according to a press release. Players will need to delve into these ruins and choose their path at the end of each floor for a unique adventure. Throughout the event, adventurers will gather guardian stones from battles and treasure chests, and trade them for extravagant rewards. Additionally, players can claim up to 1,200 gems through login bonuses.
The event also adds the Killing Machine Set equipment. The new weapon, Bluesteel Lance, features the Coup de Grâce “Killer Cannon.” It deploys a cannon that automatically fires projectiles dealing physical ice damage. Plus, its Enchantment, “Sweeping Salvo,” unleashes a rapid wave of ice-infused arrows that pierce enemies.
