Kazurou Kyou’s official manga adaptation of Nintendo and Intelligent Systems’ Fire Emblem Engage RPG is ending soon, according to Kyou’s official X (formerly Twitter) account.
The Fire Emblem Engage manga by Himedol!! mangaka Kazurou Kyou depicts the story of protagonist Alear, who is male in the manga. Chapter 1 of the manga covers Alear’s awakening and arrival at Somniel. Somniel serves as his base of operations in the Nintendo Switch game. Fire Emblem Engage manga chapter 2 introduces Alfred, the first prince of Firene and brother of princess Céline. Readers may note some differences between the events of the game and manga while reading the first volume and beyond.
The manga is in serialization as a monthly series via Saikyo Jump and the Shonen Jump+ online manga service since March 2023. Shueisha has released seven compiled book volumes thus far. All chapters appear to be free on Shonen Jump+. Unfortunately, the manga is not available to read or purchase in English officially.
Lastly, Fire Emblem Engage is available now for Nintendo Switch. Final Weapon reviewed Fire Emblem Engage and gave it a 4.5/5 score, noting that the game is “a fantastic entry in the long-running strategy RPG series, offering a fun and enjoyable story with some of the best gameplay the series has to offer.
