Fire Emblem Shadows ‘Uniting Wind’ Season Pass Releases on May 27

Nintendo and Intelligent Systems have announced the latest season pass for Fire Emblem Shadows, titled “Uniting Wind.” It will be available from May 27 to June 25 and also introduce new unit Claude to the game.

Both a new Free Pass and a paid Premium Pass are coming to Fire Emblem Shadows, each with their own rewards. Included are disciple medals, in-game currency and the weapon Failnaught in the Premium Pass. By completing both passes, the twelve Claude: Uniting Wind souls can be obtained, allowing him to join your team. The season pass will run from 11:00pm May 27 – 10:59 PM June 25 PDT (6:00 May 28 – 5:59 June 26 UTC).

Claude himself (voiced by Joe Zieja) originated in Fire Emblem: Three Houses and has a light and dark design, both by nanafuji. His magic skills include Crosswind Grav EX, Edge Break Pull, Final Tetrawind, and Darkwind Cross +. The trailer is available here:

The gameplay of Fire Emblem Shadows combines real-time strategy and social deduction. One of the three allies participating in each battle is secretly a treacherous disciple of shadow. Players choose to take on the role of either a disciple of light, aiming to find their way through the labyrinth, or a disciple of shadow.

After the initial battle, players vote to determine who they believe is the treacherous disciple of shadow. The outcome of the vote affects whether the next battle is more favorable or more challenging. Whether the disciples of light can correctly discover the traitor—or the disciple of shadow can successfully deceive the others—holds the key to how the next battle unfolds.

Consider the ally to your left and the one to your right. One of the three of you will betray the others. Can you manage real-time strategy and social deduction at the same time?
