PlayStation has announced that, starting on May 20, it will raise the price of the PlayStation Plus subscription service for new members. The reason for the price change is due to “market conditions.”
On May 20, prices for 1-month subscriptions will start at $10.99 USD / €9.99 EUR / £7.99 GBP, while 3-month subscription prices will start at $27.99 USD / €27.99 EUR / £21.99 GBP. According to PlayStation, this change will not apply to current members, except for those in India and Turkey, “unless the existing subscription changes or lapses.” The announcement comes a few weeks after PlayStation raised the prices on all their products worldwide, also due to market conditions. Every month, PlayStation Plus brings several PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 games to subscribers of all three tiers. Alongside a number of PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 games, PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members also gain access to classics from the original PlayStation, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation Portable. This month, PlayStation Plus Essential owners can download EA Sports FC 26, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, and Nine Sols until June 2, 2026.
