Famitsu has announced that AQUAPLUS’ new RPG Utawarerumono: Past and Present Rediscovered will be featured on the June 4 issue of Weekly Famitsu, which releases on May 21 in Japan. Utawarerumono: Past and Present Rediscovered is headlining the Famitsu issue with a new cover illustration and a special feature going over the history of the Utawarerumono series.

Utawarerumono: Past and Present Rediscovered will release on May 28 for PC via Steam, day-and-date with the Japanese release for Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5. However, the Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5 versions were not confirmed for the west at the time of this writing.

Ahead of launch, AQUAPLUS released a new manga summarizing the events of Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten. The Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten manga is 33 pages long and was illustrated by @curr_y_ume. Currently, the manga is not available in English.

Story

Long, long ago, in the distant past… or was it in the far-off future?

The mighty empire of Yamato exists at peace under the rule of its god incarnate the Mikado.

Oshtor, Mikazuchi, Munechika, and Shunya have been hailed as heroes ever since they repelled an invasion out of long-lost Arva Shulan.

Yet once more, a shadow falls over the nation. Monster rise in every corner of the land, and disconnected incidents spiral towards one conclusion while old comrades triangulate a response.

As their journey begins anew, they have no way of knowing—what awaits them is sung about only in legends. Somewhere, white mists still cloud a cradle—but a long, light slumber is about to end
