Characters
Utsuho Tatsumiya (voiced by Jun Fukushima)
Age: 35
An instructor at Hirasaka Academy and the homeroom teacher of Rei’s class. He teaches Japanese.
Fundamentally unmotivated, he makes no attempt to hide his languid demeanor, even in front of his students.
He often makes cynical and negative remarks, and at times even says things unbecoming of a teacher.
Dogi (voiced by Kenta Miyake)
Age: 34
A large, burly physical education instructor at Hirasaka Academy.
Despite his bold and carefree personality, he is cheerful and attentive, making him a reliable adult admired by students.
Although Dogi himself is not a Chosen, he possesses immense physical strength befitting his appearance—so much so that he can supposedly smash a solid wall to pieces with a single punch.
Suzume Sawatari (voiced by Rumi Okubo)
Age: 16
Soul Device: ???
A first-year high school student attending Hirasaka Academy as a Chosen.
She is shrewd and calculating, trading strategy data for Hirasaka Xanadu within the academy and independently profiling individuals that may require special caution.
Sensing a business opportunity in Rei, who declared on his first day as a transfer student that he would “conquer the entirety of Hirasaka Xanadu,” she approaches him in an attempt to sell her services.
Kyoya Suo (voiced by Kengo Kawanishi)
Age: 24
Soul Device: Pistol types
A young man who graduated from Hirasaka Academy and specializes in a tricky fighting style that combines martial arts with a pistol-type Soul Device.
He now works as a freelancer, accepting requests from all sorts of clients to deal with the other world and supernatural phenomena.
Easygoing and somewhat detached from the real world, he collects strange junk as countermeasures against other world encroachment—though this habit has partly turned into a hobby.
Momiji Kisaragi (voiced by You Taichi)
Age: 22
A staff member at Hirasaka Academy in charge of reception at the Xanadu Lobby.
Highly capable, she can handle any task with ease and provides thorough support to students taking on Xanadu.
Though not an instructor herself, she is highly trusted by the students, so much so that Rei has remarked she is “more of a teacher than Tatsumiya.”
Alusalu Minori Milvi (voiced by Rico Sasaki)
Age: 27
A half-Nordic woman who lives alone in Kyoto. She works as a model and is often seen strolling around the city in stylish outfits.
After Rei moves into the same apartment building, the two begin running into each other frequently as neighbors.
She is friendly and easygoing, and seems perfectly normal, but… from time to time, strange, hair-raising noises can be heard coming from her apartment next door.
System – Class: “Action Cards” and “Support Cards”
By taking classes at Hirasaka Academy, you can enhance your spiritual powers of “Wisdom,” “Virtue,” and “Valor,” which are used to strengthen your Soul Devices.
The basic class flow is as follows:
-
- On the “Class Preparation” screen, choose which “Action Cards” and “Support Cards” to use.
- Start the class.
- Earn Wisdom, Virtue, and Valor points based on the class results.
Action Cards
-
- Action Cards can be used during the class preparation phase to enhance your focus, increasing the Wisdom, Virtue, and Valor points earned in class.
- Focus points and Cost Points (CP) differ depending on the type of Action Card, and Action Cards can be used until your CP is depleted.
- Cards with high Focus points also have high CP.
Support Cards
-
- Support Cards can be used during the class preparation phase to gain beneficial effects.
- Like Action Cards, some Support Cards require CP, so it is important to decide how to allocate your limited CP between Action Cards and Support Cards.
- Additionally, once used, a Support Card cannot be reused until it recovers. However, it can be made available again by interacting with the corresponding character.
System – Facilities: “Sacred Tree”
By collecting otherworldly “Aether” into your “Aether Vial” during exploration of Xanadu and bringing it back to the real world to offer to the Sacred Tree on the academy grounds, you can receive various blessings.
Aether can be obtained by destroying terrain in Xanadu or by attacking and purifying stone statues corrupted by otherworldly miasma.
★★★ Warning: Collecting Too Much Aether ★★★
If you continue collecting Aether after your Aether Vial exceeds its capacity, there is a chance the vial will shatter, causing “Aether Poisoning.”
When afflicted with Aether Poisoning, your HP will decrease, Soul Accelerator cannot be used, and HP recovery and item use become unavailable. Symptoms worsen over time, making exploration of Xanadu increasingly difficult.
