Tales of Eternia Remastered has been rated for Nintendo Switch by PEGI (Pan European Game Information) ahead of an official announcement by Bandai Namco. Tales of Eternia Remastered receive a PEGI 12 rating, and a reveal is possible before Tales of Festival 2026, which is set for July 4 to 5, 2026, at the Yokohama BUNTAI venue in Japan.
Bandai Namco is also teaming up with renowned animation studios ufotable and Production I.G. to create 188 new illustrations celebrating the Tales of series 30th anniversary. Tales of animation directors Akira Matsushima and Tokuyuki Matsutake are the main illustrators. The new illustrations will be for the “flagship” entries of the Tales of series, and ufotable and Production I.G. will exhibit the first wave of illustrations at the Machi Asobi vol. 30 event in May. This first wave will focus on Tales of Phantasia and Tales of Xillia.
ufotable is no stranger to the Tales of series. The studio was behind the Tales of Zestiria the X anime series, along with the Tales of Symphonia OVAs and animated cutscenes for Tales of Xillia, Tales of Xillia 2, Tales of Zestiria, Tales of Berseria, and Tales of Arise. ufotable is also working on a new Genshin Impact anime and the Witch on the Holy Night movie.
Previously, Bandai Namco released the “Tales of Series 30th Anniversary Memorial Movie” to celebrate the franchise’ 30th anniversary. The video highlights Tales of Phantasia, first released for the Super Famicom in December 1995, all the way to Tales of Arise in 2021.
Tales of Berseria Remastered launched on February 27 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Following the game’s launch, Tales of Berseria Remastered update 1.0.4 brought a slew of fixes for the Steam version, along with a 120 FPS setting on PC.
